Turn on the lights
- Hold down the power button for about 2 seconds
- Adjusting brightness
- Adjust color temperature
5600k = cooler color
3200k = warmer color
Turn on the studio-lights
- Hold down the power button, roughly 2 seconds
- Adjust the brightness
- Adjust color temperature
5600k = colder
3200k = warmer
- Start the sound mixer, hold down the power button on the back of the mixer for about 3 seconds
- Turn on the microphone receiver, press and hold the power button until the indicator lights up green
- Turn on the microphone transmitter, press and hold the power button until the indicator lights up green
Attach the clip-on microphone to your clothing, for example to your collar or lapel.
The distance to your mouth should be about 25 cm. The distance affects the sensitivity of the clip-on microphone. Decrease the distance if you speak at a low volume and increase it when you speak loudly.
- Start the sound-mixer, hold down the power button, on the backside of the mixer, roughly 3 seconds
- Start the receiver that is connected to the mixer by holding down the power button until the indicator starts glowing green
- Start the transmitter by holding down the power button until the indicator starts glowing green
Fasten the clip-on microphone to your clothes, for example on your collar or lapel.
The distance to your mouth should be about 25 cm. The distance affects the sensitivity of the clip-on microphone. Reduce the distance if you are speaking at a low volume, and increase it when speaking loudly.
- Use the sliders to adjust the sound level for each microphone.
- The sound mixer display shows feedback if the microphone volume is working, or if the sound is too low or high
- Four microphones can be used simultaneously in the mixer
ATTENTION! Keeping an eye on the level meter, speak at a natural level as close to the microphone as you will be when recording. Your sound should jump onto the yellow part of the meter as you speak.
- Use the sliders to adjust the level for that channel you connected the receiver to
- The display shows feedback if the sound from the microphone is working or if the sound is too low or too loud
- You can use up to four microphones simultaneously in the mixer
Note! Keeping an eye on the level meter, talk at a natural level as close to the microphone as you will be when recording. Your audio should be reaching the yellow section of the meter while you’re talking
Check the storage media in both cameras
- Press the storage indicator at the bottom of the LCD touch screen to open the storage manager
- Press the “Drive List” button and select the USB disk that appears in the list
- Select exFAT format and press the format button
- Accept the formatting, press “Format drive”
- Hold down the format button for three seconds to format the storage media
The exFAT file format is a universal format that works with Windows, Mac and Linux.
The USB-SSD disks on which the video material is recorded are located behind the cameras’ LCD screen and are connected with USB-C
Remember to format the storage media after saving the recorded material
Check the storage in both cameras
- Tap the storage indicator at the bottom of the LCD touchscreen to enter the storage manager.
- Tap the “Drive List” button and then tap the listed storage media
- Choose exFAT-format and tap the format button
- Confirm the format, by tapping the format button again
- Hold down the format button for three seconds to format the drive
The exFAT filesystem is a universal format that works with Windows, Mac, and Linux.
The USB-SSD storage devices where the recordings are stored, are located behind the LCD-touchscreen on the cameras.
Remember to format the storage devices once again after you have saved the recorded material.
- Check that the green indicator light is on
- Press the “Rec” button to start recording
- Press the “Stop” button to end the recording
When you start recording via the video mixer, the recording starts automatically on both cameras (simultaneous recording)
If the indicator on the video mixer is not green, check that the USB disks are properly connected to the camera’s USB-C port
- Check that the indicator is glowing green
- Press the “Rec”-button to start recording
- Press the “Stop”-button to stop the recording
Once you start the recording via the mixer, the recording starts on both cameras (simultaneous recording)
Both cameras are also connected to the sound-mixer, sound is then recorded on both cameras as well.
If the indicator is now glowing green, check the USB-connection between the storage devices and the cameras (USB-C).
- Take the USB disks out of the cameras and connect to the computer
- The respective USB disk contains the recording files:
- Recording CAM 1.braw
- Recording CAM 2.braw
- Copy over the files and import them into either:
- Final Cut Pro X (recommended)
- DaVinci Resolve
- Remove the USB storage devices from the cameras and connect them to the computer
- The recorded material is located on each camera’s respective storage device, as:
- Recording CAM 1.braw
- Recording CAM 2.braw
- Copy the recorded material and edit them in either:
- Final Cut Pro X (recom.)
- DaVinci Resolve
