Podcasts
At Åbo Akademi University we have two podcast studios: one in Turku and one in Vaasa.
The podcast studios are equipped with specialized audio equipment. In addition, the acoustics of the studio are adapted to minimize unwanted echoes and sound distortions.
Podcast studios are booked in Peppi.

How to make podcasts / podcasts
Three production phases
1. recording
2. editing (if needed)
3. publishing on platform
Recording
The sound is the most important thing, TEST for a while before you start the real recording.
There are many different programs to record with, such as
– Zoom: Start a meeting, activate the microphone and record to your computer
– Windows: Audio recorder
– Mac: QuickTime Player: File / New Audio Recording
– Free Audacity software, which also works well for editing
Publishing and storage options
At ÅA there is Panopto (panopto.abo.fi) and O365 OneDrive (office.com) that can be used
to publish your podcasts. You can also upload audio files to blogs2.abo.fi if you
have a blog there,
